
Meet the Director Scott Rhoad
Police Chief
Scott Rhoad has been the director of Public Safety at the University of Central Missouri since May 2014. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Criminal Justice Administration, both from UCM. He also attended the FBI National Academy. Rhoad is a member of FBI LEEDA (Law Enforcement Executive Development Association), FBI National Academy Associates, Missouri Police Chiefs Association, Kansas/Western Missouri Chapter FBINAA, and the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators. He is currently on the executive board for the Missouri Peace Officers Association and the executive board of the FBI National Academy associates, representing 15 states, Africa, the Middle East and parts of Canada.

University Police
Officer Brown and German Shepherd Echo are a portion of our team of University Police Officers working to keep you safe. The team includes police officers, student employees assigned to our SAFE Team, and dispatchers.
The University of Central Missouri Police Division operates like any other police department. Our highly trained officers are all commissioned by the City of Warrensburg as well as the State of Missouri. They are on duty at all times to ensure the safety and security of the UCM campus community. Our full-time 911 dispatching center handles all emergency and nonemergency calls to UCM Public Safety. Parking Services
All vehicles (cars, trucks, vans, motorcycles, mopeds, etc.) parked in UCM parking lots are required to properly display a valid parking permit. Parking permits can be purchased at Parking Services or online at MyCentral. Learn more.

Access Control
Public Safety's Access Control Division includes locksmiths skilled in both electronic and mechanical locks. Access Control works to ensure campus is secure through the managment of electronic and regular keys issued to students and employees. They also maintain and replace existing access systems.
