Students that are active duty, reserve, guard, veterans, and dependents can enroll early for courses each semester. To have this applied please contact the Military and Veteran Success Center.
The Military Tuition Package (MTP), applies to those who are using military Tuition Assistance or the GI Bill® to fund their education and /or their dependents.
The Military Tuition Package Extension (MTPE) applies to Veterans who have exhausted their VA benefits and will continue to use the Military Tuition Package. Students must be in good standing and remain continuously enrolled with the University to receive the extension.
Students who are currently serving in the active duty, reserves, or national guard are eligible for this tuition reduction for undergraduate courses that are online, hybrid, or courses at the Summit Center to $250 a credit hour. Students must provide proof of military status and this must be filled out each semester.

The out of state waiver form and supporting documentation must be submitted to the Military and Veteran Success Center to be applied to student account. This will only need to be filled out one time.
Chapter 33: Post-9/11 GI Bill®
The Post 9/11 GI Bill® provides benefits for students who served in the military on active duty for at least 90 aggregate days after September 10, 2001, or if the student was discharged with a service-connected disability after 30 days. You must have received an honorable discharge.
Chapter 30: Montgomery GI Bill®
Montgomery GI Bill® benefits provides up to 36 months of benefits to service members with at least two years of active duty service.
Chapter 31: Veteran Readiness and Employment
Veteran Readiness and Employment benefits are available to veterans who are at least 10% disabled, apply for the program, and have received or will receive a discharge that is not dishonorable.
Chapter 1606: Montgomery GI Bill® Selected Reserve
Select Reserve benefits are for eligible members in the Air, Army, Coast Guard, and Marine Reserves and Air and Army National Guard. 36 months of entitlement but will end once the member leaves service.
Chapter 35: Survivors and Dependents Assistance
Survivors and Dependents assistance provides education and training opportunities to eligible dependents of veterans who are permanently and totally disabled due to a service-related condition or eligible dependents of veterans who died while on active duty or as a result of a service-related condition.
Missouri Returning Heroes Act
The Missouri Returning Heroes Education Act is a Missouri law that requires public institutions to limit eligible combat veterans' tuition to $50 per credit hour for undergraduate and no more than thirty (30) percent of the cost of tuition and fees for graduate courses(The definition of a “graduate degree" does not include professional degrees including but not limited to law, medicine, or veterinary degrees.). Students must maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5, provide a DD-214, and be eligible to vote or registered to vote in Missouri, or be a current resident of Missouri.
Air Force Federal Tuition Assistance
Active Duty and Reserve members are eligible for $4,500 each fiscal year in tuition assistance. Members must apply on the AFVEC website and reach out to the base education office for more information.
Army Federal Tuition Assistance
Active Duty, Reserve, and National Guard members are eligible for 16 credit hours per fiscal year.
Missouri Air/Army State Tuition Assistance
Air National Guard members are eligible for tuition assistance funding : 15 hours in the Fall, 15 hours in the Spring, and 9 hours in the Summer.
Army National Guard members must exhaust all Federal Tuition Assistance prior to being able to use State Tuition Assistance if you have completed basic training and technical training.
