In order to prepare students to experience these valuable global opportunities when
they are available, UCM Study Abroad is monitoring US State Department and CDC travel
advisories closely, as well as staying in close contact with partners abroad. The
University of Central Missouri continues to closely monitor developments related to
COVID-19. For the most up-to-date details, visit UCM's COVID-19 Response Page.
In Fall 2021, the UCM Study Abroad office is hosting Open Advising on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Students are welcome to join us in persin in Union 302, located up the stairs behind Starbucks in the Elliott Student Union. The University of Central Missouri is committed to cultivating a global perspective among its students, faculty and staff. We do that by welcoming international students to UCM from nearly 50 countries—and by offering an extensive array of study abroad and exchange programs. Each year we place over 200 students in study abroad programs throughout the world. We’re also one of the few universities in the country to offer generous scholarships and grants to support your study abroad journey.
With the experience and advising of our study abroad staff, you can design your own study abroad experience. The options are both broad and deep. You can choose from more than 60 countries—from Italy to China and South Korea to Costa Rica. You can also choose from hundreds of courses in arts, sciences, business, marketing, modern languages, and many more. And of course, you also decide the duration of your study abroad experience—from two weeks to an entire academic year.
When studying abroad, you’ll continue to earn UCM credit and stay on track to complete your degree in four years.
Travel to another county with your instructor and classmates and immerse yourself in the language and culture.
